An ideal mentor is someone who is passionate, empathetic, and committed to helping young people succeed. We are looking for mentors who are willing to share their insights and are eager to learn from the next generation of leaders. As a mentor, you will be paired with one Volship team consisting of three leaders.

We welcome mentors from all backgrounds and industries who are passionate about making a positive impact in their communities. You should have strong communication and interpersonal skills and a desire to mentor and empower young leaders. As a mentor, you should be committed to the goals of the Volship Program and have a willingness to learn and grow alongside our fellows.

What Does a Mentor Do ?

Guide and Support

  • Provide guidance and support to Volship fellows.
  • Help fellows navigate through potential challenges.
  • Assist fellows in maximizing their potential and capabilities.
  • Share personal wisdom and professional insights for fellow's development.

Share Expertise

  • Leverage your knowledge and expertise to provide invaluable insights to the fellows
  • Help fellows develop new skills through your experience and expertise
  • Assist in broadening the fellows' perspectives with your insights.

Foster Growth

  • Foster personal and professional growth of the fellows

How much time commitment is expected from mentors?

Mentors are expected to dedicate approximately two to three per week for a period of 12 weeks to support their Volship team.

Can mentors continue their involvement beyond the 12-week program?

Absolutely! Mentors are encouraged to continue their engagement and maintain relationships with their Volship fellows beyond the program duration, providing further guidance and support as they start their longer Bhumi Club journey

How many Volship fellows does a mentor work with?

Each mentor is matched with a Volship team comprising three fellows.

The Volship team represents a specific city and collaborates on addressing a social issue relevant to that city.

How are mentors matched with Volship teams?

Mentors are carefully matched with Volship teams based on their areas of expertise, skills, city they are based out of, and the needs and goals of the fellows.

Support And Resources Are Available To Mentors?

Volunteer for India and Bhumi provides ongoing support to mentors throughout the program. This includes access to resources, mentorship guidelines, and a dedicated point of contact for any questions or concerns.

Qualifications Or Experience Are Necessary To Become A Mentor?
